This interdisciplinary conference will explore what forms feminism can take in the age of Covid-19. The pandemic is continuing to be a collective challenge for humanity, yet women in particular have suffered, as social distancing and lockdowns have reactivated traditional gender roles. The virus has changed the way women live, both on a personal but also on a professional level.
How have women and feminists responded to the crisis?
How have they managed to come together, and find ways of being creative in the age of lockdowns and acute control?
These are some of the questions this conference will address.
Invited speakers and artists include Prof Alison Phipps, Dr Aviah Day, Dr Heejung Chung, Anne-Marie Reuter, Torrey Peters, and Wendy Delorme.
