On November 17th 2022, we were happy to welcome Prof. Jesus-Fernandez Huertas Moraga affiliated with the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. In the framework of our lecture series about Cross-Border Labor Mobility, Prof. Moraga gave a detailed lecture about residential segregation and immigrant integration.
Prof. Moraga spoke about how where we live affects our welfare and why studying residential segregation of both native and immigrant populations matters. For natives, segregation can explain the persistence of socio-economic outcomes. For immigrants, choosing where they live will have an impact on their integration prospects.
This lecture series is organised by Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) & University of Luxembourg, in the framework of 2 FNR funded projects: ACROSS and MINLAB.
Next lecture will feature Prof. Paola Giuliano on 16 December 2022
