SnT professor and FinTech expert Gilbert Fridgen attempted to answer this question in an interview with Paperjam magazine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/snt-en\/people\/gilbert-fridgen\/\">Gilbert Fridgen<\/a> shared his insights on the future of finance in an interview published in the November 2024 issue of the Luxembourg business magazine Paperjam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The professor in Digital Financial Services at SnT discusses the importance of digital transformation for both financial businesses and financial products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He highlights the interdisciplinary work carried out by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/research-en\/ncer\/fintech\/\">FutureFinTech National Centre of Excellence in Research<\/a> at the University of Luxembourg, which combines the expertise of SnT and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fdef-en\/\">Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance<\/a> (FDEF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This programme was launched in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/news\/launch-of-the-national-centre-of-excellence-in-financial-technologies\/\">March 2023<\/a> with significant funding from the FNR and support from the ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is the impact of Artificial Intelligence in finance? Where are we with the adoption of digital currencies, or the development of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)?
