{"id":13354,"date":"2024-10-25T10:17:54","date_gmt":"2024-10-25T08:17:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/snt-en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=13354"},"modified":"2024-10-25T10:17:56","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T08:17:56","slug":"canada-and-snt-on-the-same-wavelength","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/snt-en\/news\/canada-and-snt-on-the-same-wavelength\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada and SnT on the same wavelength"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a focus on cybersecurity, defence, space and AI, the programme of the Chamber of Commerce&#8217;s economic mission to Canada fits close with many of SnT&#8217;s research priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interdisciplinary centre has therefore chosen to take part in this operation led by the Chamber of Commerce from 27 to 31 October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This economic mission offers a valuable opportunity to connect with potential partners in Canada, while also uncovering new challenges and crafting solutions that can benefit our local ecosystem&#8221;, explains <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/snt-en\/people\/fabrizio-pastore\/\">Fabrizio Pastore<\/a>, Associate Professor at SnT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Possible connections<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The space industry and cyber security sectors are particularly dynamic in the maple leaf country. The mission programme includes a visit to the Incyber North America Forum in Montreal, whose key theme is &#8220;Cybersecurity in the age of AI&#8221;. On the aerospace side, the Luxembourg delegation is expected to visit Bombardier&#8217;s HQ on the periphery of Montreal. The programme also includes a visit to MILA, the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A stopover in Toronto is planned, with company visits and participation in the Luxembourg-Ontario Business Forum. The event will focus on cyber, defence and space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This programme reflects the majority of SnT&#8217;s research priorities.
