These innovations enhance our society&#8217;s competitiveness, foster critical thinking and contribute to our overall economic prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-custom-buttons btn-list\"><li class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-custom-button\"    aria-disabled=\"false\"\n    >\n    <a\n        role=\"link\"\n        aria-disabled=\"false\"\n                    href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/research-en\/collaboration-engagement\/ktt\/\"\n                target=\"_self\"\n        class=\"btn btn--primary\"\n            >Knowledge &amp; technology transfer<\/a>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<p>The University relies on partnerships with private and public partners and uses instruments such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/research-en\/collaboration-engagement\/endowed-chairs\/\">endowed chairs<\/a>, co-sponsored PhDs, or joint and co-designed research programmes. Research activities at the University have already led to the founding of several<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/research-en\/collaboration-engagement\/spin-offs\/\">spin-offs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transfer of findings often relies on hard sciences and technology, but the University also seeks partnerships which harness knowledge generated in social sciences, humanities, and law, thus also promoting social entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University runs the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/about\/organisation\/administration\/incubator-entrepreneurship-programme\/\">University Incubator<\/a>, open to all members of the University community (including alumni) which provide workshops and mentorships to those wishing to pursue an entrepreneurial idea.
