Welcome to the first event of the ULIDE<\/a> <\/strong>Connect Series on Digital Governance, Industry, and Society!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the framework of a reflection on the European perspective on Industry 5.0, also referred to as the Fifth Industrial Revolution, the workshop engages critically with an institutional agenda whose aim is to repurpose productive structures through a stakeholder-value perspective. This represents a key departure from Industry 4.0 accompanied by a strong emphasis on human-centric, sustainable and resilient approaches. The rationale is to interrogate this framework from multiple angles by examining workplace dynamics, the co-evolution of industrial and societal transformations, and, more broadly, how, and whether, production can be imagined differently.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this first session the discussion will be centered on the following question: <\/strong>\u201cWhat do we mean when we speak of \u2018industry\u2019?\u201d as well as on the conceptual apparatus underpinning this notion and the historical evolution of the concept itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two lectures will be delivered in French, with supporting materials available in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
