Öffentlichen und privaten Partnern
The University also develops research activities in partnership with industry and has strategic partnerships with national, European and international public institutions. These partnerships give the University an insight into industrial and societal challenges that increasingly require interdisciplinary and intersectoral approaches.
Our public partners include EU institutions such as the European Investment Bank or Eurostat, various national ministries, government agencies and offices, professional chambers, chambers of commerce, educational institutions, foundations, hospitals, museums and associations.
We also maintain cooperations with over 80 companies in the region and worldwide, including international companies such as Arcelor Mittal, Cisco Systems, Kerry group and Paypal.
SnT Partnership Programme
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University is a research institution at the University of Luxembourg specialised in ICT and a pioneer in partnerships with industry. The SnT’s Partnership Programme is central to its activities. The work achieved by SnT researchers in collaboration with partner organisations is helping to consolidate Luxembourg’s position as a centre of excellence and innovation within Europe in the field of secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services.
Instruments of collaboration
Our endowed chairs establish a longstanding relationship of trust between the private or public partner and the University from which students, academics, society and donors benefit in equal measure – the partner primarily through research results, the acquisition of highly qualified talent and visibility.
Bilateral research agreements and public-private partnerships (PPPs) are other important cooperation instruments at the University.
