Overview

The political science collection contains textbooks, manuals, handbooks, conference proceedings, commentaries, encyclopedias, dictionaries and periodicals, which are essential for studying and teaching political science.

The collection covers all connected topics such as politics, political and legislative processes, international relations, government, state systems, civil and political rights. The resources are being updated with publications from different political systems outside of the European Union (e.g. the UK, US and Canada). This collection consists primarily of literature in French, English and German.

  • International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS)

    It includes over 3 million bibliographic references to journal articles and to books, reviews and selected chapters dating back to 1951. It provides cross-disciplinary coverage across the social sciences, focused on four primary subject areas: anthropology, economics, political science and sociology.
  • ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT)

    Database which provides the full text of open access dissertations and theses. Subscribed content covers the humanities and social sciences collection from 1637 to now.
  • ProQuest One Business (PQ1B)

    Compiling scholarly journals, reports, magazines, books and other sources, this database offers also content specialized in political science and international relations.
  • Yearbook of International Organizations

    It includes detailed information on over 66 000 international organizations from 300 countries and territories – including intergovernmental (IGOs) and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Approximately 1200new organizations are added each year.

    It captures election results, national referenda, changes in government, and institutional reforms for a range of countries, within and beyond the EU.
  • Worldwide governance indicators

    A global compilation of data capturing household, business, and citizen perceptions of the quality of governance in more than 200 countries and territories.
  • Political database of the Americas

    The PDBA offers centralized and systematized information about institutions and political processes, national constitutions, branches of government, elections, political constitutional studies and other subjects related to the strengthening of democracy in the region.
  • WWW Virtual Library : International Affairs Resources

    More than 2000 annotated links in all areas of International Relations. This virtual library dedicated to international relations has become a true institution in this field.
