With Rafael Parratoro, an Argentinian\/Venezuelan artist and engineer with fascinating kinetic and optical ar<\/strong>t.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get to know Parratoro and learn about his artistic process that integrates augmented reality and 3D technology into fine art. Merging digital and physical mediums, to create interactive and dynamic pieces that invite viewers to engage directly with movement, geometry, and light. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His art is recognized for the masterful use of the moir\u00e9 technique. Unlike other kinetic artists, Parratoro is the only artist to create defined geometric forms solely through the moir\u00e9 effect itself, using the interference patterns not merely as texture or illusion, but as a drawing tool that gives structure and meaning to the image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His artworks have been exhibited internationally including in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, the United States, Germany, China, Italy and now in Luxembourg in Campus Belval!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll start the event with a guided visit of the exhibition<\/strong><\/a> with the artist himself in the MSA groundfloor at 17.30<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Followed up by an art talk in the MSA 3.370 at 18.30<\/strong>, for which you can register with Eventbrite.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An introduction to the talk and the artist\u2019s work will be given by Ivan Nourdin, Professor of Stochastic Modelling at the University of Luxembourg since 2014 and Director of the Bachelor\u2019s programme in Mathematics since 2018. His work has been recognised with several awards, including the Fondation des Sciences Math\u00e9matiques de Paris Annual Prize (2011) and the FNR Award for Outstanding Scientific Publication (2015). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Nourdin is also co-founder of GrewIA, a startup supporting organisations in their understanding and use of artificial intelligence and is committed to making AI accessible through public talks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
