Cultural Rendez-Vous: working hard on working less

On the 24th of June at 4:30 PM, Clio Van Aerde will be hosting a guided tour around her current exhibition, working hard on working less at Gallery Escher Theatre.

working hard on working less is a sculptural, installation, and painting-based series developed within the framework of Clio Van Aerde’s WORK IT research project, investigating functional movement and the relation between bodies, tools, and labour. Following the Dissident Brooms residency at the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette in March 2026, the artist has continued to expand and refine the project. In collaboration with curator Danielle Igniti, the work will be staged and exhibited in the gallery of the Escher Theater until the June 30th 2026.

Clio Van Aerde will be the new Artist in Residence at the University for the upcoming Semester continuing the Artists in residence framework created by Espace Cultures in collaboration with Casino Display.
