 >\nLes installations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous nous effor\u00e7ons constamment de remplacer, de r\u00e9duire et d&rsquo;affiner notre utilisation des animaux \u00e0 des fins de recherche. Nous n&rsquo;utilisons des animaux que lorsqu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;existe pas d&rsquo;alternative. Les souris transg\u00e9niques (g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9es) ont remplac\u00e9 de nombreux animaux d&rsquo;ordre sup\u00e9rieur en tant que mod\u00e8les pour les maladies humaines. Quatre g\u00e8nes humains sur cinq sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sents chez les souris, ce qui en fait un bon point de d\u00e9part pour la recherche sur les maladies humaines. La modification g\u00e9n\u00e9tique des souris par l&rsquo;insertion ou l&rsquo;\u00e9limination de g\u00e8nes est une m\u00e9thode bien \u00e9tablie pour d\u00e9couvrir la fonction d&rsquo;un g\u00e8ne sp\u00e9cifique. Il conserve 70 % des g\u00e8nes impliqu\u00e9s dans les maladies humaines.
