id=\"bien-etre-des-animaux\"\n    >\nBien-\u00eatre des animaux<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Au LCSB, nous pla\u00e7ons des normes \u00e9lev\u00e9es de bien-\u00eatre au centre de toutes nos recherches animales, car le bien-\u00eatre des animaux et la qualit\u00e9 scientifique vont de pair. Si un animal souffre de stress ou de douleur, les r\u00e9sultats de recherche peuvent \u00eatre affect\u00e9s. Par cons\u00e9quent, outre nos convictions morales qui nous obligent \u00e0 assurer le bien-\u00eatre des animaux et \u00e0 r\u00e9duire leur utilisation, il est scientifiquement judicieux d\u2019h\u00e9berger les animaux dans les meilleures conditions possibles et de veiller \u00e0 ce qu\u2019ils re\u00e7oivent les meilleurs soins possibles, dispens\u00e9s par des animaliers qualifi\u00e9s et exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si des chercheurs sont convaincus que l\u2019utilisation d\u2019un mod\u00e8le animal est le seul moyen de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 une question scientifique importante, ils doivnet d\u2019abord obtenir l&rsquo;approbation \u00e9thique interne du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fr\/a-propos\/gouvernance\/comite-d-ethique-pour-l-experimentation-animale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Comit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9thique en exp\u00e9rimentation animale (Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee, AEEC) de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Luxembourg<\/a>. Ce comit\u00e9 est compos\u00e9 d\u2019experts en m\u00e9decine v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire, de chercheurs et de membres du personnel de l\u2019animalerie, d\u2019un biostatisticien et de non-sp\u00e9cialistes. Il a pour mission de veiller \u00e0 ce que les princes des 3R soitent respect\u00e9s :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Remplacement \u2013 l\u2019utilisation d\u2019alternatives \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation animale si possible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">R\u00e9duction \u2013 r\u00e9duction au minimum du nombre d\u2019animaux utilis\u00e9s pour obtenir des r\u00e9sultats scientifiquement valides<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Raffinement \u2013 les exp\u00e9riences sont con\u00e7ues de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 r\u00e9duire toute d\u00e9tresse ou douleur \u00e9ventuelle caus\u00e9e aux animaux.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Si un projet est approuv\u00e9 par l\u2019AEEC, une demande est soumise au minist\u00e8re de l\u2019Agriculture, charg\u00e9 d\u2019examiner le projet d\u2019un point de vue du bien-\u00eatre animal et des qualifications du personnel impliqu\u00e9. En outre, le minist\u00e8re de Sant\u00e9 examine le plan exp\u00e9rimental. Une \u00ab autorisation de projet \u00bb est un document juridique qui d\u00e9finit les limites et les conditions dans lesquelles les animaux peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aucune proc\u00e9dure scientifique ne peut d\u00e9buter s\u2019il existe des m\u00e9thodes alternatives non animales pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la question ou si la m\u00e9thode envisag\u00e9e risque de causer des souffrances inutiles aux animaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le LCSB a pris les mesures suivantes pour garantir les normes les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de soins et de bien-\u00eatre des animaux :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Chaque animalerie du LCSB dispose d\u2019un responsable comp\u00e9tent \u00e0 temps plein, qui est un chercheur certifi\u00e9 en exp\u00e9rimentation animale. Il dispose d\u2019une \u00e9quipe de techniciens form\u00e9s en sant\u00e9 animale, qui veillent au bien-\u00eatre des animaux et contribuent au maintien d\u2019une culture du soin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Toutes nos installations ont acc\u00e8s au service v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9, qui inspecte r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement les animaux et donne des conseils sur un large \u00e9ventail de questions relatives au bien-\u00eatre animal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Tout le personnel travaillant avec des animaux doit suivre une formation sp\u00e9cifique. Ces qualifications comprennent une formation de base (formation \u00e0 la fonction A et\/ou D) et se poursuivent par une formation et une \u00e9valuation des comp\u00e9tences pratiques sp\u00e9cifiques. Enfin, chaque personne travaillant avec des animaux de laboratoire doit suivre un minimum de quatre heures de formation professionnelle continue par an. Le personnel qui planifie et dirige des projets d&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimentation animale doit \u00e9galement suivre la formation \u00e0 la fonction B.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Les responsables de la plateforme animale, le service v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9, un technicien en soins animaliers et au moins deux chercheurs forment le \u00ab comit\u00e9 du bien-\u00eatre animal \u00bb.
