Prof. Carole Linster"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\"><p>Dans le cadre de son centenaire, le Soroptimist International of Europe a c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0The Soroptimist of the Centenary\u00a0\u00bb et a fait un don pour les maladies infantiles rares au Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine.<\/p><p>Le Soroptimist International, rassemble des femmes actives professionnellement qui se mettent b\u00e9n\u00e9volement au service d&rsquo;autres femmes et jeunes filles, et ce depuis 100 ans d\u00e9j\u00e0. Pour marquer cet anniversaire, le Soroptimist International of Europe a lanc\u00e9 un concours dans lequel 100 femmes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sign\u00e9es pour repr\u00e9senter au mieux les valeurs du mouvement. Parmi ces 100 femmes, 13 finalistes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es par le jury de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration europ\u00e9enne pour d\u00e9signer l&rsquo;une d&rsquo;entre elles comme \u00ab\u00a0The Soroptimist of the Centenary\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p><p>Quel honneur pour l&rsquo;Union Luxembourgeoise du Soroptimist International a.s.b.l d&rsquo;apprendre que ce prix, dot\u00e9 de 5.000 euros, a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini, sculpteur-peintre-c\u00e9ramiste, artiste passionn\u00e9e et engag\u00e9e, Fonds Soroptimist Luxembourg a. s.b.l pr\u00e9sidente et membre du club SI d&rsquo;Esch-sur-Alzette depuis plus de 50 ans, responsable de diff\u00e9rentes fonctions au sein de l&rsquo;Union et responsable de diff\u00e9rents projets nationaux et internationaux en faveur des femmes durant ce demi-si\u00e8cle.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-dev4-reusable-blocks-image  object-fit--contain\">\n    \n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-image unilux-custom-image-block\"\n                alt=\"\"\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2023\/07\/si_check.png\"\n                srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2023\/07\/si_check-300x182.png 300w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2023\/07\/si_check.png 500w\"\n                style=\"object-position: 50.00% 50.00%; font-family: &quot;object-fit: contain; object-position: 50.00% 50.00%;&quot;; aspect-ratio: 16\/9; object-fit: contain; width: 100%;\"\n        loading=\"lazy\"\n\/>    <\/figure><p>Bettina a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de faire don de cette somme \u00e0 une scientifique passionn\u00e9e qui dirige un groupe de recherche sur les maladies infantiles rares au Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 du Luxembourg : Dr Carole Linster, professeur assistant et responsable du groupe de recherche Enzymology &#038; Metabolism. <\/p><p>Le lundi 15 novembre, une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie a eu lieu au LCSB, o\u00f9 une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation de Soroptimistes des dix clubs du pays a \u00e9t\u00e9 re\u00e7ue. L&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi a commenc\u00e9 par un mot de bienvenue du Prof. Reinhard Schneider, directeur adjoint du LCSB, et du Dr Lisa Smits, fundraiser, suivi de quelques discours de Christiane Sadler, ancienne pr\u00e9sidente, et de Marie-Louise Bissen, pr\u00e9sidente de l&rsquo;Union Luxembourgeoise du SI, en pr\u00e9sence de Caroline Demey, pr\u00e9sidente de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Europ\u00e9enne du Soroptimist International, et de Gerda Rosiers, pr\u00e9sidente du Centenaire 2021 de la m\u00eame f\u00e9d\u00e9ration, qui ont \u00e9galement pris la parole.<\/p><p>Apr\u00e8s ces discours, Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini, laur\u00e9ate du prix du centenaire, a remis un ch\u00e8que \u00e0 Assist. Carole Linster, qui a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00e0 son tour ses travaux de recherche.<\/p><p>Ce programme a \u00e9t\u00e9 suivi d&rsquo;une visite guid\u00e9e des laboratoires en petits groupes, anim\u00e9e par le Prof. Anne Gr\u00fcnewald, l&rsquo;Assist. Carole Linster, Dr. Silvia Bolognin et Dr. Lorena Cordero Maldonado.
