As researchers all over the country are working on numerous new projects to contribute to the fight against the virus, there is a need for coordination and collaboration. Research Luxembourg\u00a0(University, LIH, LISER, LIST, FNR, Ministry of Higher Education and Research) has therefore launched a national COVID-19 platform.<\/p><p>This\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lux-covid19.lu\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>, developed by the Bioinformatics Core of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine of the University of Luxembourg, will support the research community, facilitate exchanges and the identification of synergies.<\/p><p>The different parts of the platform allow researchers to:<\/p><ul class=\"ulux-list\"><li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.lux-covid19.lu\/submit\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Submit project ideas<\/a><\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.lux-covid19.lu\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Browse ongoing projects and submitted new projects<\/a><\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forum.lux-covid19.lu\/login\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Share and discuss new ideas<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"submit-your-research-projects\"\n    >\nSubmit your research projects!<\/h2>\n<p>Researchers are invited to submit project proposals through the online form available on the platform. Ongoing projects should also be submitted if they are not yet catalogued. This will allow the creation of a list of all ongoing research related to the virus in Luxembourg.<\/p><p>Short abstracts describing each submitted project, as well as contact information for the project leaders are available on the platform. A private forum section allows efficient discussions between the participants and can be used to call for contributions, look for specific expertise or suggest ideas for additional studies.\u00a0<\/p><p>On top of giving a good overview of COVID-19 research in Luxembourg, this centralised platform aims to foster collaboration and communication. It is essential to make the most of the existing skills and resources while avoiding duplication of work. Technology can power fast and efficient scientific research in this unique context, let\u2019s make it happen!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"fnr-funding\"\n    >\nFNR funding<\/h2>\n<p>The FNR will shortly announce a special fast-track Call to provide initial funding for research projects on COVID-19, with a deadline of 13 April. The aim is to (co-)support short-term projects, or the starting phase of long-term projects.
