Le mardi 7 mai 2019, le Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) de l’Universit\u00e9 du Luxembourg a accueilli dans ses laboratoires une trentaine de membres de l’association de patients allemande Junge Meenzer Parkis.<\/p>

\u00ab\u00a0Personne ne devrait se sentir seul face \u00e0 la maladie\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sidente Angela Ertl, tel est l’objectif de son groupe de d\u00e9fense des patients \u00e0 Mayence qui soutient des jeunes patients et leurs proches<\/a>. \u00ab\u00a0Nous voulons soutenir les personnes atteintes de la maladie de Parkinson et \u00e9duquer les gens sur la maladie. Pour une grande partie des jeunes patients, le diagnostic est source de stupeur et suscite plusieurs questions. C’est pourquoi le sujet de la recherche et de la m\u00e9decine du futur sont d’un grand int\u00e9r\u00eat.\u00a0\u00bb Au cours de la visite au campus de Belval, les visiteurs ont eu l\u2019occasion de poser ces questions lors de pr\u00e9sentations, de visites guid\u00e9es et d\u2019\u00e9changes personnels avec le professeur Rejko Kr\u00fcger et d’autres chercheurs du LCSB. Ils ont pu ainsi avoir une id\u00e9e de ce qui passe dans les coulisses de la recherche sur la maladie de Parkinson.<\/p>

Le Professeur Rejko Kr\u00fcger<\/a> a tout d\u2019abord pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 la strat\u00e9gie de recherche interdisciplinaire du LCSB et de l\u2019\u00e9tude sur la maladie de Parkinson au Luxembourg<\/a>: \u00ab Nous aimerions mieux comprendre les m\u00e9canismes mol\u00e9culaires conduisant \u00e0 la maladie de Parkinson. C\u2019est seulement \u00e0 partir de l\u00e0 que nous pourrons diagnostiquer la maladie plus t\u00f4t et mieux la traiter. \u00bb La participation de centaines de personnes, atteintes ou non de la maladie de Parkinson, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude sur la maladie de Parkinson au Luxembourg a d\u00e9j\u00e0 permis de recueillir une grande quantit\u00e9 de donn\u00e9es qui fourniront des informations \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard.<\/p>

Ensuite, les invit\u00e9s ont \u00e9galement eu la possibilit\u00e9 de visiter les laboratoires. Lors de ces visites, les chercheurs ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 et expliqu\u00e9 leurs travaux dans les domaines de la recherche sur les cellules souches, de la neurobiologie mol\u00e9culaire et de la stimulation c\u00e9r\u00e9brale profonde, afin de donner aux visiteurs une id\u00e9e des diff\u00e9rents projets Parkinson du LCSB. \u00ab \u00catre sur place et voir comment, par exemple, sont utilis\u00e9s les \u00e9chantillons que les patients de l\u2019\u00e9tude Parkinson fournissent \u00e0 la recherche est tr\u00e8s motivant \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Angela Ertl. \u00ab Nous remercions sinc\u00e8rement le professeur Kr\u00fcger et son \u00e9quipe pour cet aper\u00e7u du LCSB et leur hospitalit\u00e9. \u00bb<\/p>
