  >\nHow to participate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The REPHLECS PD study includes three participant groups, each with specific criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\" start=\"1\" class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Healthy controls are people that do not have neurodegenerative or cardiovascular diseases, cognitive impairments, or are pregnant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">People with Parkinson\u2019s disease with symptoms of OH (such as dizziness or weakness).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">People with Parkinson\u2019s disease without OH Symptoms.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants of all groups must be able to stand in order to complete the Schellong test at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"study-phases\"\n    >\nStudy Phases<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation involves two phases, which take around one week altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phase 1: <\/strong>During screening and baseline assessment at the Parkinson&#8217;s Research Clinic, participants will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">sign the informed consent form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">perform a Schellong test<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">undergo clinical assessments (including the Schellong test) with cardiovascular monitoring using the SOMNOtouch and the Empatica EmbracePlus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">receive instructions on how to use the EmbracePlus wristband at home&nbsp; to perform the Schellong test on their own for the Home Monitoring Phase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phase 2: <\/strong>The Home Monitoring Phase lasts for 7 days.
