and the Head of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/lcsb-en\/research-groups\/clinical-translational-informatics\/\">Clinical and Translational Informatics Group<\/a>. Since 2016, he has been the technical coordinator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/elixir-luxembourg.org\/\">ELIXIR Luxembourg Node<\/a>, leading data hub development and ensuring GDPR-compliant clinical data sustainability. He has delivered 25+ invited talks worldwide, published 94+ peer-reviewed articles, and serves on editorial boards of major journals. From 2013 to 2015, he taught bioinformatics courses (Bioinformatics Introduction,&nbsp;Biological Databases) to Bachelor in Life Sciences Biology students and courses as&nbsp;Programming,&nbsp;Bioinformatics, and&nbsp;Genomics and Databases&nbsp;to Master in Integrated Systems Biology (MSB) students, including exam preparation and grading. He mentors Master\u2019s and PhD students through ISCB\u2019s Luxembourg <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwen.uni.lu\/students\/student_participation\/student_associations_clubs_and_partners\/rsg\">Regional Student Group (RSG)<\/a>. He organized ~30 conferences, workshops, and hackathons, including ISCB TransMed sessions and <a href=\"https:\/\/biohackathon-europe.org\/\">BioHackathon Europe<\/a> since 2020. He promotes global bioinformatics education via ISCB, contributing to competency frameworks, curricula, and course endorsement processes (<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1093\/bioadv\/vbae166\">Brooksbank et al., 2024<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iscb.org\/degree-endorsement-program\">bioinformatics degree course endorsement process<\/a>). In 2004, he joined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/\">EMBL<\/a>\u2019s Structural and Computational Biology Unit as a Scientific Programmer, becoming Senior Bioinformatics Scientist in 2010 and remaining until 2012. In 2013, he joined the LCSB at the University of Luxembourg as a Research Scientist, was appointed Deputy Head of the Bioinformatics Core in 2017, and in 2025 became Head of the Clinical and Translational Informatics Group.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"educational-background\"\n    >\nEducational Background<\/h4>\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-bigtext\">\n    <span>\n        \n    <\/span>\n<\/div><\/header><div class=\"list-highlighted__body wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-body\">\n    <div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-free-content-area\">\n    \n<p>Dr. Venkata Satagopam studied Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Postgraduate diploma in management information systems (computer applications, information technology major) equivalent to master\u2019s degree.
