The idea behind this initiative? Giving the opportunity to people to discover the Belval campus, the university of Luxembourg and what happens in a research lab. So, on a rainy Tuesday afternoon, a group of 8 participants joined the Scienteens Lab team for a cultural and scientific programme.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-dev4-reusable-blocks-image  object-fit--contain\">\n    \n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-image unilux-custom-image-block\"\n                alt=\"\"\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/07\/web_collage_1.jpg\"\n                srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/07\/web_collage_1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/07\/web_collage_1.jpg 500w\"\n                style=\"object-position: 50.00% 50.00%; font-family: &quot;object-fit: contain; object-position: 50.00% 50.00%;&quot;; aspect-ratio: 3\/2; object-fit: contain; width: 100%;\"\n        loading=\"lazy\"\n\/>    <\/figure>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit started with a 45 minutes guided tour around the campus focusing on the rich history of this unique site that mixes heritage from the steel industry \u2013 with the impressive haut-fourneaux \u2013 and modern buildings hosting the university. The group then reached the Scienteens Lab headquarters, the House of Biomedicine or Biotech I, for a presentation about the university and the scientific research conducted here. After a short break, the afternoon continued with the visit of a lab of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) and detailed explanation about the equipment, methods and procedures used in research. Last but not least, the programme ended with the hands-on workshop.
