Die demographischen Ver\u00e4nderungen unserer Gesellschaft wird in den kommenden Jahren und Jahrzehnten zu einem rapiden Anstieg der Fallzahlen f\u00fchren. Von derzeit ca. 44 Millionen Alzheimerkranken weltweit wird diese Fallzahl im Jahr 2050 auf ungef\u00e4hr 150 Millionen ansteigen. Dieser Anstieg an kognitiv eingeschr\u00e4nkten Patienten hat umfassende und tiefgreifende Ver\u00e4nderungen unseres Gesundheitswesens und unserer Lebensumst\u00e4nde zur Folge. Die Alzheimer Krankheit betrifft nicht nur unmittelbar den Patienten, sondern beeinflu\u00dft die pflegenden Partner und Familienangeh\u00f6rigen massgeblich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Klinische und epidemiologische Untersuchungen legen nahe, dass durch schon heute durchf\u00fchrbare Massnahmen 1\/3 aller F\u00e4lle im Jahr 2050 verhindert werden k\u00f6nnten. Zu diesen Massnahmen geh\u00f6ren ausreichende und regelm\u00e4\u00dfige k\u00f6rperliche Bewegung, die Einhaltung eines normalen K\u00f6rpergewichts, die Regulierung von Blutdruck sowie spezielle di\u00e4tische Massnahmen. Regelm\u00e4\u00dfige geistige Bet\u00e4tigung sch\u00fctzt ebenfalls vor der Entwicklung und dem raschen Fortschreiten einer Alzheimer Krankheit.
