The University welcomes new Minister of Research and Higher Education

On December 7, the new Minister of Research and Higher Education Stéphanie Obertin visited the University of Luxembourg on Belval Campus.

The minister was welcomed by members of the rectorate, the Rector Prof. Jens Kreisel, the Vice-rector for academic affairs Prof. Catherine Léglu, the Vice-rector for research Prof. Simone Niclou and the Vice-rector for partnerships and international relations Prof. Marie-Hélène Jobin, as well as the Chairman of the board of governance Yves Elsen. The working visit began with a presentation of the University and an exchange.

At the Maison du Savoir, the minister visited a classroom for the Bachelor in Medicine and equipment for digital medical teaching. After a brief visit to the Luxembourg Learning Centre, the delegation arrived at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB). The director Prof. Michael Heneka offered the minister a guided tour of LCSB laboratories.
