Prof. Carole Linster"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\"><p>Im Rahmen ihres 100-j\u00e4hrigen Bestehens feierte die Soroptimist International of Europe &#8222;The Soroptimist of the Centenary&#8220; und spendete f\u00fcr seltene Kinderkrankheiten im Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine.<\/p><p>Soroptimist International, bringt beruflich aktive Frauen zusammen, die sich ehrenamtlich in den Dienst anderer Frauen und M\u00e4dchen stellen und das bereits seit 100 Jahren. Um dieses Jubil\u00e4um angemessen zu w\u00fcrdigen, initierte Soroptimist International of Europe einen Wettbewerb, bei welchem 100 Frauen nominiert wurden, die die Werte der Bewegung am besten repr\u00e4sentieren. Von diesen 100 Frauen wurden 13 Finalistinnen von der Jury der Europ\u00e4ischen F\u00f6deration ausgew\u00e4hlt, um eine von ihnen als die &#8222;The Soroptimist of the Centenary&#8220; zu k\u00fcren.<\/p><p>Was f\u00fcr eine Ehre f\u00fcr die Union Luxembourgeoise du Soroptimist International a.s.b.l zu erfahren, dass dieser Preis, der mit 5.000 Euro dotiert ist, Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini verliehen wurde, Bildhauerin-Malerin-Keramikerin, leidenschaftliche und engagierte K\u00fcnstlerin, Fonds Soroptimist Luxembourg a.s.b.l Pr\u00e4sidentin und seit mehr als 50 Jahren Mitglied des SI-Clubs Esch-sur-Alzette, Verantwortliche f\u00fcr verschiedene Funktionen innerhalb der Union und Leiterin verschiedener nationaler und internationaler Projekte zugunsten von Frauen w\u00e4hrend dieses halben Jahrhunderts.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-dev4-reusable-blocks-image  object-fit--contain\">\n    \n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-image unilux-custom-image-block\"\n                alt=\"\"\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/07\/si_check.jpg\"\n                srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/07\/si_check-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/07\/si_check-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/07\/si_check.jpg 800w\"\n                style=\"object-position: 50.00% 50.00%; font-family: &quot;object-fit: contain; object-position: 50.00% 50.00%;&quot;; aspect-ratio: 4\/3; object-fit: contain; width: 100%;\"\n        loading=\"lazy\"\n\/>    <\/figure><p>Bettina beschloss, diesen Betrag einer leidenschaftlichen Wissenschaftlerin zu spenden, die am Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) der Universit\u00e4t Luxemburg eine Forschungsgruppe \u00fcber seltene Kinderkrankheiten leitet: Dr. Carole Linster, Assistenzprofessorin und Leiterin der Enzymology &#038; Metabolism Forschungsgruppe.\u00a0<\/p><p>Am Montag, den 15. November, fand im LCSB ein Festakt statt, bei dem eine Delegation von Soroptimistinnen aus den zehn Clubs des Landes empfangen wurde. Der Nachmittag begann mit einer Begr\u00fc\u00dfung durch Prof. Reinhard Schneider, stellvertretender Direktor des LCSB, und Dr. Lisa Smits, Fundraiserin, gefolgt von einigen Reden von Christiane Sadler, ehemalige Pr\u00e4sidentin, und Marie-Louise Bissen, Pr\u00e4sidentin der Union Luxembourgeoise du SI, in Anwesenheit von Caroline Demey, Pr\u00e4sidentin der Europ\u00e4ischen F\u00f6deration von Soroptimist International, und Gerda Rosiers, Vorsitzende der Hundertjahrfeier 2021 der gleichen F\u00f6deration, die ebenfalls das Wort ergriffen.<\/p><p>Nach diesen Reden \u00fcberreichte die Hundertjahrfeier-Preistr\u00e4gerin Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini einen Scheck an Assist. Prof. Carole Linster, die ihrerseits ihre Forschungsarbeit vorstellte.<\/p><p>Im Anschluss an dieses Programm fand eine F\u00fchrung durch die Labore in kleinen Gruppen statt, die von Prof. Anne Gr\u00fcnewald, Assist.
