He is an External PhD-Candidate at Leiden University since October 2017. In addition, David is a Deputy-Secretary of the Dutch Standing Government Committee on Private International Law since October 2018. Since November 2024 he is the Secretary of the Board of the Royal Netherlands Society of International Law (KNVIR).
