SUMMARY:Virtual Hearings in Turkish Law
DESCRIPTION:Following the declaration of COVID-19 as a pandemic, digitalisation efforts in judiciary systems increased significantly. As a result, virtual hearings, although previously regulated in the laws of many countries' legal systems, have become an increasingly important practice, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, amendments have been made in the Turkish Code of Civil Procedure, leading to the widespread utilization of virtual hearings in practice.  In this presentation, virtual hearings will be discussed from the perspectives of both Turkish law and comparative law. \n\nDr Ayşe Ece Acar\n\nDr. Ayşe Ece Acar, graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2009.
