SUMMARY:Is Meroni back? The Fundación Tatiana Pérez judgment and its implication
DESCRIPTION:The Court of Justice of the European Union was led, to once again, re-examine its Meroni doctrine in the context of the Fundación Tatiana Pérez decision it delivered last June.\n\nThis presentation will attempt to define where we stand after this judgement as regards the delegation of powers to agencies. It will also seek to determine what its implications for other agencies and in particular for the newly created Anti-Money Laundering Agency (AMLA) could be. \n\nThe registration is closed.\n\nProf. Diane Fromage\n\nProf. Fromage is currently a Professor of European Law at the University of Salzburg, where she is also a Deputy-Director of the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS) and the Principal Investigator of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence EUCHALLENGES and of the Jubiläumsfonds Project EUSOFTLAW. She was previously a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellow at Sciences Po Paris (Law School, IMPACTEBU Project), an Assistant Professor of European Law at Maastricht University and at Utrecht University, and a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow in Law at the European University Institute of Florence, Italy.\nHer research focuses on the Economic and Monetary Union and especially the Banking Union, as well as on Parliaments in the EU.
