Around 100 participants registered online and in person for this event which offered a quite diversified and broad range of methods and tools to deal with complex data.\u00a0<\/p><p>The conference featured 22 speakers from the University of Luxembourg, Japanese Universities, Aarhus University and the European Space Agency. Sponsored by the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/sandal.uni.lu\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">ERA Chair in Mathematical Statistics and Data Science \u2013\u00a0SanDAL<\/a>\u201d and research funds of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taniguchi.sci.waseda.ac.jp\/taniguchi-doc.html\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Prof. Masanobu Taniguchi <\/a>from Waseda University,\u00a0this was the first conference organised by <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/recherche\/fstm\/dmath\/people\/christophe_ley\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Prof. Christophe Ley<\/a> from the\u00a0Department of Mathematics at the University of Luxembourg.
