Ces organismes photosynth\u00e9tiques microscopiques sont capables de convertir la lumi\u00e8re solaire et le dioxyde de carbone en lipides riches en \u00e9nergie, offrant ainsi une alternative renouvelable aux combustibles fossiles. Toutefois, le d\u00e9veloppement de cette technologie \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle se heurte \u00e0 un d\u00e9fi majeur : l\u2019augmentation de la production de lipides s\u2019accompagne souvent d\u2019une diminution de la biomasse totale produite, ce qui limite le rendement global en carburant.
