Mr. <a href=\"https:\/\/annuaire.public.lu\/index.php?idMin=6121\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Jean-Marie Reiff<\/a>, Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/portail-qualite.public.lu\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">ILNAS<\/a>, had the pleasure of delivering this award to Prof. <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/recherche\/fstm\/doe\/members\/peter_plapper\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Peter Plapper<\/a>, Professor within the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/recherche\/fstm\/doe\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Engineering (DoE)<\/a> at the University of Luxembourg.<\/p><p>Prof. Peter Plapper is one of the national delegates registered in the ISO technical committee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/committee\/53186.html\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">ISO\/TC 154 \u00ab\u00a0Processes, data elements and documents in commerce, industry and administration\u00a0\u00bb<\/a>, which was responsible, among other things, for the development of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/standard\/73292.html\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">ISO 22468 \u00ab\u00a0Value Stream Management (VSM)<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb standard. Together with his team from the engineering department of the University of Luxembourg, they worked for 8 years in several research projects and took the lead of the technical committee\u2019s working group 7 throughout the development of the ISO 22468 standard. During the project, Prof. Peter Plapper held the chairmanship of this working group.<\/p><p>With the support of ILNAS, the <strong>ISO 22468 \u00ab\u00a0Value Stream Management (VSM)<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb standard was published in March 2020. It is important to note that this is the first time the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published an international standard based on a Luxembourg standardization proposal. The standard makes it possible to<strong> identify and reduce waste at the level of value streams commonly used in industry<\/strong>.
