Find a remedy\u201d, a famous quote from Henry Ford describes very well the basic idea behind the INTERREG A- Greater Region project PRODPILOT.<\/p><p>The University of Luxembourg is a key partner in this project among five other partners in the Greater Region. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prodpilot.eu\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">PRODPILOT<\/a> gives Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) an opportunity to <strong>assess their productivity<\/strong> and provides input for <strong>innovative ways<\/strong> of improving competitiveness using both <strong>lean methods<\/strong> as well as <strong>industry 4.0 technologies<\/strong>.<\/p><p>To promote competitiveness in SMEs, the project consortium introduced \u201c<strong>PRODPILOT Grand Prix<\/strong>\u201d, an award for innovative projects focusing on overall productivity improvement in the companies.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-dev4-reusable-blocks-image  object-fit--contain\">\n    \n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-image unilux-custom-image-block\"\n                alt=\"\"\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/07\/prodpilot_award.jpg\"\n                srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/07\/prodpilot_award-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/07\/prodpilot_award.jpg 500w\"\n                style=\"object-position: 50.00% 50.00%; font-family: &quot;object-fit: contain; object-position: 50.00% 50.00%;&quot;; aspect-ratio: 4\/3; object-fit: contain; width: 100%;\"\n        loading=\"lazy\"\n\/>    <\/figure><p>At an event held in Zweibr\u00fccken on 28 November 2019, in the presence of project consortium of PRODPILOT and stakeholders, the Luxembourg company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tt-group.lu\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferro-Tech<\/a>\u00a0has won the first ever \u201cPRODPILOT Grand Prix\u201d.<\/p><p>The company provides maintenance services to the railway industry, like CFL and SNCF. The award recognised the Ferro-Tech\u2019s efforts in terms of <strong>digitalizing their maintenance process<\/strong> by seamless vertical integration in company\u2019s hierarchical systems. Through digitalization, the company has reduced its maintenance costs from \u20ac4.4 million in 2016 to \u20ac3.95 million in 2018.<\/p><p>The University of Luxembourg managed the coordination of the award along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luxinnovation.lu\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Luxinnovation<\/a> as a jury and the <a href=\"https:\/\/meco.gouvernement.lu\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Minist\u00e8re de l&rsquo;Economie<\/a> as a methodological partner.<\/p><\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cDon\u2019t find fault.
