The cross-fertilization of disciplines allows for identifying analogies with phenomena such as extreme events well known in economy and hydrodynamics or neuronal computation and regulatory networks in biology. In addition, nonlinear light-matter interaction yields interesting spatio-temporal instabilities arising from either modulation instability (leading to optical patterns) or from soliton interactions. In this field the resurging interest in nonlinear propagation of exotic light beams such as accelerating waves and vortices has motivated analogies with dynamics in rotating or curved reference frames including gravitational effects.
@id":"https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/events/seminar-on-photonics-in-the-context-of-collaboration-with-centrale-supelec/#breadcrumb
fr-FR
@type":"ReadAction
https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/events/seminar-on-photonics-in-the-context-of-collaboration-with-centrale-supelec/"]}]},{"@type":"ImageObject
fr-FR","@id":"https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/events/seminar-on-photonics-in-the-context-of-collaboration-with-centrale-supelec/#primaryimage
{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/events/seminar-on-photonics-in-the-context-of-collaboration-with-centrale-supelec/#breadcrumb
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
Seminar on Photonics in the context of collaboration with Centrale Supélec"}]},{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/#website
{"@id":"https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/#organization
Faculté des Sciences, des Technologies et de Médecine I Université du Luxembourg
@type":"SearchAction
@type":"EntryPoint
{"@type":"Organization","@id":"https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/#organization
{"@type":"ImageObject
fr-FR","@id":"https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/#/schema/logo/image/
https://www.uni.lu/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2026/03/03111744/FSTM_SM-Profile_1600x1600px-scaled.jpg
https://www.uni.lu/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2026/03/03111744/FSTM_SM-Profile_1600x1600px-scaled.jpg
{"@id":"https://www.uni.lu/fstm-fr/#/schema/logo/image/
https://www.facebook.com/fstm.uni.lu/","https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/fstm-uni-lu
