Project BRIGHT seeks to revolutionize the welding process for hard metal and steel by developing a more efficient and reliable method. The project proposes using a Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) to create a precise temperature profile, preventing cracks and ensuring a more stable joint.
