abilities to model, analyze, control, optimise, and assure the quality of structures and cross-disciplinary systems. <\/em>This is especially important in the digital age, where detailed digital twins of engineering projects will be standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"teaching-and-learning-for-mechanics-and-structural-analysis\"\n    >\nTeaching and learning for mechanics and structural analysis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In engineering education, mastering Mechanics and Structural Analysis can be challenging for undergraduate students. The incorporation of creativity in the teaching process can enhance students&#8217; learning outcomes. A successful approach to teaching mechanics involves <em>active learning<\/em>, where <em>students make informed decisions about physical observations, associated abstractions, and simplifications<\/em>. Furthermore,<em><strong> <\/strong>students learn to utilize predictive models responsibly and reliably<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>A combination of <em>course work, case studies, individual and team projects<\/em> provide students with <em>theoretical and practical knowledge<\/em> of Structural Analysis, with new topics and aspects introduced through a curiosity or application-driven approach.
