href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/research-departments\/department-of-health-medicine-and-life-sciences\/about\/\">Department of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (DHML)<\/a> and part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/research-groups\/nursing-sciences\/\">Nursing Sciences Research Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-free-content-area\">\n    \n<p>Across her research career, her central motivation has been to conduct science that improves care, empowers people living with chronic conditions, and strengthens the evidence base guiding nursing decision\u2011making. Her research focuses on Parkinson\u2019s disease, with particular emphasis on patient\u2011reported outcomes, functional mobility, self\u2011care in chronic conditions, and mixed\u2011methods research designs integrating quantitative longitudinal data and qualitative approaches. She is committed to research integrity, reproducible workflows, and patient public involvement. Her PhD <a href=\"https:\/\/cris.maastrichtuniversity.nl\/en\/publications\/a-mixed-methods-investigation-of-the-trajectories-of-patient-repo\/\">dissertation <\/a>examined unexpectedly stable trajectories of patient\u2011reported functional mobility in people with Parkinson\u2019s disease, combining epidemiological analyses with in\u2011depth qualitative investigations. She has conducted her research within the international cross-disciplinary research initiative on Parkinson\u2019s disease <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/lcsb-en\/research-projects\/ncer-pd-national-centre-for-excellence-in-research-on-parkinsons-disease\/\">NCER-PD<\/a> and was the first nurse to complete a PhD at the University of Luxembourg.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"teaching\"\n    >\nTeaching<\/h4>\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-bigtext\">\n    <span>\n        \n    <\/span>\n<\/div><\/header><div class=\"list-highlighted__body wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-body\">\n    <div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-free-content-area\">\n    \n<p>Dr. Anne-Marie HANFF is the Deputy Director ad interim for the programme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-fr\/study-programs\/bachelor-en-sciences-infirmieres-infirmier-responsable-de-soins-generaux\/\">Bachelor en Sciences Infirmi\u00e8res \u2013 Infirmier responsable de soins g\u00e9n\u00e9raux<\/a>. Since 2018, she regularly contributes to public discussions on healthcare, nursing, and social issues through the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtl.lu\/news\/meenung\/carte-blanche\/de-bachelor-fir-dinfirmieren-ass-do-2231017\">Carte Blanche<\/a>&nbsp;programme on RTL Radio Luxembourg. She participates in national and European panels on health policy, digital health, innovation, and science communication.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>In parallel to her academic appointments, she contributes to evidence\u2011informed policymaking through her participation in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fnr.lu\/pairing-scheme-politics-meets-research\/\">FNR Politics Meets Research programme<\/a>&nbsp;and her leadership as president of the national nurses association (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.anil.lu\/p\/118\">ANIL<\/a>) (since 2019). She was selected to participate in the highly competitive European Academy of Nursing Sciences (EANS) Summer School programme over multiple consecutive years (2020\u20132024). Also, she was selected as participant of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchluxembourg.org\/en\/women-and-girls-in-science-2023-anne-marie-hanff-phd-candidate-in-transversal-translational-medicine\/\">Women &amp; Girls in Sciences<\/a>&nbsp;campaign (2023) where she I shared her experience as a nurse\u2011researcher and young mother to encourage others to pursue scientific pathways. Recently she joined Rotary Esch-Bassin-Minier to further contribute to local community projects and promote the role of science and nursing expertise in socially impactful initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n<li class=\"list-highlighted__item  wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item\">\n    <header class=\"list-highlighted__header wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-header\">\n    \n<h4 class=\"title text-18 font-bold has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"work-experience\"\n    >\nWork experience<\/h4>\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-bigtext\">\n    <span>\n        \n    <\/span>\n<\/div><\/header><div class=\"list-highlighted__body wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-body\">\n    <div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-highlighted-list-item-free-content-area\">\n    \n<p>After working for several years as a general care nurse in Luxembourg, Germany, and Switzerland across a range of clinical settings, including internal medicine, home care, palliative care, emergency services, and Parkinson\u2019s disease research (2009\u20132020), Dr Anne\u2011Marie Hanff completed her PhD within the Transversal Translational Medicine Department at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (2020\u20132025), in close collaboration with the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Parkinson\u2019s Research Clinic led by Prof. Rejko Kr\u00fcger.
