The exercises were adapted according to the high-school level of the students: Junior, Intermediate and Senior. During the afternoon, divided into small groups, the pupils had the opportunity to find out about the competition\u2019s solutions and exchange with mathematicians in an interactive way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The following 2024 winners were rewarded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Junior category<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Gold 2024: Noah Chan\u00e9, Adrian Encher, Valeriia Golishnikova, Ranyun Guo, Shaowen Wang<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Silver 2024: Tudor Paltanea<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Bronze 2024: Reyanksh Deb, Tomasz Lengiewicz, Elo\u00efse Samson Zilliox<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Intermediate category<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Gold 2024: Nathalie Foulds, Khalid Khan, Bruno Tarchala, Duo Zhang<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Silver 2024: Saad Khan, Jan Krzwicki, Cillian McManus, Alana Puffer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Bronze 2024: L\u00e9a Li Flatter, Jinglang Huang, Alessandro Novelli, Thomas Prigent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It was my first participation and I really enjoyed the challenges and the workshops, it was really interesting, I already want to participate next year&#8221;, says Bruno from the Lyc\u00e9e Michel Lucius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Senior category<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Gold 2024: Maia Tanasa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Silver 2024: Sofia Marag\u00f3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Bronze 2024: Barnaby Foyster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Senior Honorable mention: Mich\u00e8le Voncken and Louise Bernier<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Mathematics is my primary passion, I like solving problems and establishing connections between areas which seem not related. This competition was really interesting and I particularly appreciated the generalisation of the problems presented in the workshops&#8221;, comments Sofia from the European School II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was organised by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/people\/antonella-perucca\/\">Prof. Antonella Perucca<\/a> from the Department of Mathematics with the help of doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and administrative staff members. In addition, R\u00f3bert Freud<em>,<\/em>&nbsp;former professor within the Department of Algebra and Number Theory at E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University and internationally renowned for his contribution to mathematical Olympiads shared his passion with high-school students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More pictures on our <a
