{"id":43115,"date":"2025-10-29T10:43:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T09:43:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=43115"},"modified":"2025-10-30T13:54:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T12:54:04","slug":"word-of-the-dean-4","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/news\/word-of-the-dean-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Word of the Dean"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<p>In the area of research, Artificial Intelligence (AI) for science is one of the main driving forces behind future developments within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses)  are currently being developed in collaboration with partners across the ecosystem as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/research-projects\/luxembourg-ai-factory-l-aif\/\">AI Factory project<\/a>. This initiative will serve as an exemplary model for how faculties can collaborate to create a new portfolio of certificates, supported by our Competence Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recruitment of new professors in the fields of statistical learning, AI and generative AI will further strengthen the academic standing of FSTM.
