As the new academic year begins, the University of Luxembourg not only welcomes fresh faces to its Belval campus, but also celebrates the launch of two new bachelor programmes in life sciences. This autumn marks the official opening of the Bachelor in Medical Technical Radiology Assistant<\/a> and the Bachelor in Midwifery<\/a>, reinforcing the University\u2019s commitment to high-quality healthcare education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 127 students have joined the cohorts, stepping into a new chapter of their lives. \u201cYou are going to shape the identity of our bachelors<\/em>,\u201d said Prof. Ali Ghanchi<\/a>, Study Programme Director in Midwifery, addressing the incoming class. \u201cSome of you have travelled across countries to be here, others come from Luxembourg. But you have one thing in common: all of you bring energy and motivation<\/em>.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Prof. Paul Heuschling<\/a>, director ad interim for the Bachelor in Radiology, also welcomed the students and highlighted the role of radiology professionals in today\u2019s evolving healthcare landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n

The significance of these new programmes also resonated internationally. Margrieta Langins<\/a>, Nursing and Midwifery Policy Advisor at the World Health Organisation, sent a special message to mark the occasion. She welcomed the initiative and emphasised the global importance of investing in nursing education. She congratulated the new students on joining \u201cone of the most meaningful and rewarding careers there is,\u201d<\/em> and encouraged them to see nursing as a field \u201cfull of purpose, offering countless opportunities.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University of Luxembourg warmly welcomes all students starting these new programmes and looks forward to supporting them as they grow and succeed in their studies and future careers.<\/p>\n\n\n
