Prof. Christophe Ley <\/a>and Postdoctoral researcher Guendalina Palmirotta<\/a> from the department of Mathematics<\/a> received their Teaching Award during the Rentr\u00e9e Acad\u00e9mique<\/em> which took place on 13 November 2024. The award recognises their excellent teaching, dedication and commitment to their students. Congratulations to both of them! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nChristophe Ley<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Christophe Ley is an Associate Professor in Mathematics. He also leads the group Modelling, Interdisciplinary Research, Data Science, Applied Mathematics and Statistics<\/a> within the Department. In addition to his academic role, he is also President of the Luxembourg Statistical Society<\/a>, President of ECAS<\/a> (the European organization for Advanced Courses in Statistics), and Leader of the international network S-TRAINING<\/a> (new data science methods for sports analytics and sports medicine).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students widely appreciate Prof. Ley for his genuine care and dedication to their success. “He truly cares about every single student in the classroom. I’m very grateful for everything he’s taught me,” says Oliver, a Master’s student in Data Science.<\/p>\n\n\n
