    Post-quantum cryptography: future-proof security<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    Quantum computers threaten the security of widely used cryptosystems such as RSA and ECC, prompting the development of post-quantum cryptography (PQC). This talk surveys the main families of PQC algorithms\u2014lattice-based, code-based, and multivariate\u2014along with the NIST standardization process that has led to the selection of Kyber (encryption) and Dilithium (signatures) as new cryptographic standards. Finally, the importance of protecting PQC implementations against side-channel attacks will be addressed.<\/p>\n

    Challenges in the post-quantum transition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    The advent of efficient quantum computers presents a significant threat to contemporary cryptographic systems, necessitating a transition to quantum-safe alternatives. With several security agencies recommending the migration of critical systems and services by 2035, addressing this challenge has become a pressing priority. This talk explores some of the technical challenges associated with this upcoming transition.<\/p>\n
