Join us for an enlightening event focused on the exciting world of quantum computing. This event is designed for professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts who are eager to explore the potential and challenges of quantum computing. This is the third one of the Quantum breakfast series<\/a> organised by the University of Luxembourg and the Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.     Topological quantum computing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    Recent years have witnessed tremendous progress in the construction of quantum computers, which could solve certain problems much more efficiently than the best “classical” computers. Quantum computers work with qubits (“quantum bits”) instead of the bits which store information in classical computers. In this presentation, I will review different experimental realizations of qubits and, in particular, I will show how topological qubits could lead to more performant quantum computers.<\/p>\n

    Google is one of the leaders in quantum computing research. In this session, we will provide an overview of Google’s roadmap to building a fault-tolerant quantum computer. We will explore the critical challenges and highlight potential ground-breaking opportunities using real-world examples.
