    The Role of Communications towards the Quantum Internet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    This talk will review the importance of communications for quantum internet applications. First, Quantum Key Distribution will be targeted as a short-term application, explaining the main concept, as well as the national and European deployment perspectives. Subsequently, the requirements of longer-term applications, such as distributed quantum computing and sensing, will be described, along with the communication research breakthroughs needed to support them.  <\/p>\n

    Lux4QCI – Integrating terrestrial segment and space segment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    The sensitive nature of quantum key distribution raise awareness on specific security problems. The peering for classical communications between telecom operators mainly focus on service availability, its measurement and related contractual enforcement. Following the description of\u00a0some specific problems related to QCI peering, this talk will focus on some solutions specific to\u00a0interdomain\u00a0 and will emphasize the benefit of integrating satellite QCI in between two terrestrial QCI domains.<\/p>\n
