The increasing need for getting a better understanding of such data in internet traffic, biology, genetics, and economics, has lead to a revolution in statistical and machine learning, optimisation and numerical analysis. The aim of STAMFORD is to provide a concise statistical theory for estimation of high dimensional diffusions. Such high dimensional processes naturally appear in modelling particle interactions in physics, neural networks in biology or large portfolios in economics, just to name a few. The methodological part of the project focuses on novel advanced techniques in mathematical statistics and probability theory.
","rp_start_date":"2019-09-01 14:46:07","rp_duration":60,"rp_main_funder":"European Research Council","rp_other_funders":[],"rp_external_partners":[],"rp_keywords":["diffusion models","high dimensional data","mathematical statistics","probability theory"],"rp_members":[{"id":"50039614","isExternal":false,"isPI":true,"name":"Mark Podolskij","featuredImageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/person-image\/NTAwMzk2MTRfX01hcmsgUE9ET0xTS0lK","detailsPageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/blog\/people\/mark-podolskij\/"},{"id":"50043213","isExternal":false,"isPI":false,"name":"Nicolas LENGERT","featuredImageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/person-image\/NTAwNDMyMTNfX05pY29sYXMgTEVOR0VSVA==","detailsPageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/blog\/people\/nicolas-lengert\/"},{"id":"50040122","isExternal":false,"isPI":false,"name":"Chiara AMORINO","featuredImageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/person-image\/NTAwNDAxMjJfX0NoaWFyYSBBTU9SSU5P","detailsPageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/blog\/people\/chiara-amorino\/"},{"name":"Shi-Yuan ZHOU","isPI":false,"isExternal":false,"featuredImageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/person-image\/NTAwNDQwMzZfX1NoaS1ZdWFuIFpIT1U=","detailsPageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/blog\/people\/shi-yuan-zhou\/","id":"50044036"},{"name":"Akram HEIDARI","isPI":false,"isExternal":false,"featuredImageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/person-image\/NTAwNDY4NTVfX0FrcmFtIEhFSURBUkk=","detailsPageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/blog\/people\/akram-heidari\/","id":"50046855"},{"name":"Wangjun YUAN","isPI":false,"isExternal":false,"featuredImageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/person-image\/NTAwNjM4OTRfX1dhbmdqdW4gWVVBTg==","detailsPageUrl":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/blog\/people\/wangjun-yuan\/","id":"50063894"}]},"research-project-status":[275],"research-project-type":[268],"field-of-interest":[294],"organisation":[120,65,105,29],"authorship":[115,215,112],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/core-researches\/10091"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/core-researches"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/core-researches"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/115"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/core-researches\/10091\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":24905,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/core-researches\/10091\/revisions\/24905"}],"wp:authorship":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/115"},{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/215"},{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/112"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/10090"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=10091"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"research-project-status","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/research-project-status?post=10091"},{"taxonomy":"research-project-type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/research-project-type?post=10091"},{"taxonomy":"field-of-interest","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/field-of-interest?post=10091"},{"taxonomy":"organisation","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/organisation?post=10091"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
