Open, chaotic, non-Hermitian quantum systems

Our developing understanding of quantum mechanics leads technological innovations and deepens our understanding of nature – especially quantum systems consisting of many degrees of freedom. An important class of such many-body systems are chaotic systems, which exhibit universal features, and open systems, which describe realistic setups such as quantum computers and quantum optical systems.
