Dr. Mirco PANIGHEL

Mirco Panighel is a Postdoctoral researcher in the Scanning Probe Microscopy Laboratory at the Department of Physics and Materials Science of the University of Luxembourg. He is member of the research group Surface & Interface Physics led by Professor Alex Redinger.

His experimental research focuses on the study of new materials for photovoltaic applications, through microscopy and spectroscopy techniques down to the atomic level.

He spent two years as Postdoctoral researcher at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Barcelona. Between 2017 and 2024 he was a Postdoctoral researcher at the Italian National Research Council in Trieste. He joined the University of Luxembourg in 2024.

Mirco Panighel obtained his Master in Condensed Matter Physics in 2011 and a PhD in Nanotechnology in 2015 at the University of Trieste.
