La coop\u00e9ration fournit un apport crucial en recherche dans le domaine futur des r\u00e9parations autonomes de satellites en orbite.<\/p><p>Les op\u00e9rations de maintenance en orbite telles que le ravitaillement et les r\u00e9parations constituent une \u00e9tape importante pour accro\u00eetre les activit\u00e9s humaines dans l\u2019espace, car elles ouvriront la voie \u00e0 la construction en orbite. Si une r\u00e9paration de mat\u00e9riel est en elle-m\u00eame d\u00e9j\u00e0 une t\u00e2che complexe, la r\u00e9paration d\u2019un satellite en orbite s\u2019av\u00e8re davantage difficile. Des engins de service capables d\u2019identifier des \u00e9l\u00e9ments cibles et d\u2019agir sans n\u00e9cessiter d\u2019instructions humaines depuis la terre changeraient totalement la donne. L\u2019ind\u00e9pendance et l\u2019autonomie permettront davantage de flexibilit\u00e9 dans la planification de futures missions engins de service, tout en permettant des interventions sans \u00e9quipement sp\u00e9cial.<\/p><p>Pour rendre possible cette autonomie, l\u2019engin de service doit \u00eatre capable de voir ce qu\u2019il fait, et de traiter ces donn\u00e9es. A ces fins, LMO a contact\u00e9 le groupe de recherche \u00ab\u00a0Computer Vision, Imaging &#038; Machine Intelligence\u00a0\u00bb du <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/snt\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">SnT<\/a>, dirig\u00e9 par la Dr <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwen.uni.lu\/snt\/people\/djamila_aouada\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Djamila Aouada<\/a>. Les chercheurs du SnT et de LMO d\u00e9velopperont la technologie pour offrir aux engins de service des capacit\u00e9s visuelles intelligentes. La vision informatique permettra au v\u00e9hicule de reconna\u00eetre les parties du satellite sur lesquelles il intervient et de traiter les donn\u00e9es re\u00e7ues, pour prendre ensuite des d\u00e9cisions autonomes et r\u00e9parer ou r\u00e9approvisionner l\u2019engin spatial.<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0L\u2019accord avec LMO marque une \u00e9tape importante pour SnT\u00a0; il s\u2019agit de notre premier partenariat sur des projets strat\u00e9giques pour le \u00ab\u00a0new space\u00a0\u00bb. La technologie de vision informatique innovante d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par la Dr Aouada et son \u00e9quipe trouvera des applications dans le secteur spatial\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/snt\/people\/bjoern_ottersten\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Prof Bj\u00f6rn Ottersten<\/a>, directeur du SnT. \u00ab\u00a0LIFT ME OFF poss\u00e8de une technologie avanc\u00e9e et un projet d\u2019entreprise innovant\u00a0: nous sommes enthousiastes \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019entamer ce premier projet de recherche avec eux.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0Notre travail s\u2019applique habituellement aux solutions de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 terrestre. Appliquer notre recherche sur des projets en l\u2019espace nous ouvrira de nombreuses opportunit\u00e9s de recherche\u00a0\u00bb, a estim\u00e9 la Dr Aouada, coordinatrice scientifique du projet. \u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est un tout nouveau domaine et il reste beaucoup \u00e0 accomplir pour d\u00e9velopper le r\u00f4le de la vision informatique dans le secteur spatial.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous venons juste de commencer notre collaboration avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe du Dr Aouada, et leur regard ext\u00e9rieur sur le secteur spatial nous am\u00e8ne d\u00e9j\u00e0 de nombreuses perspectives\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Michel Poucet, PDG de LIFT ME OFF. \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019\u00e9quipe internationale du SnT et sa d\u00e9cennie d\u2019exp\u00e9rience dans la vision informatique terrestre, combin\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rience spatiale de LIFT ME OFF, font du SnT un associ\u00e9 id\u00e9al dans notre mission de rendre les activit\u00e9s dans l\u2019espace s\u00fbrs et durables.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0Le SnT est un acteur cl\u00e9 pour soutenir l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me du spatial au Luxembourg et attirer de nouvelles start-ups telles que LIFT ME OFF\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Georges Schmit, membre du Conseil consultatif sur les ressources spatiales aupr\u00e8s du gouvernement luxembourgeois. \u00ab\u00a0Fort de sa longue collaboration avec le secteur spatial, le SnT rel\u00e8ve \u00e9galement des d\u00e9fis dans d\u2019autres secteurs.
