Physicists and biologists from the University of Luxembourg have recently launched the \u00ab\u00a0Physics meets Biology\u00a0\u00bb website.\u00a0This initiative combines expertise in condensed matter physics and\u00a0systems biology to understand living systems from a quantitative and mechanistic perspective.<\/p>

Twelve researchers are currently involved in the project: six from the Physics and Materials Science Research Unit (PHYMS)<\/a> and six from the\u00a0Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB)<\/a>.<\/p>

Major universities are moving in this exiting new direction and the website demonstrates that the University of Luxembourg is joining this effort. It presents the ongoing research activities, the latest scientific news, and advertises our future and past events. In the winter semester 2019, 12 talks by world-renowned experts in biophysics and biological soft matter have already been scheduled.<\/p>
