Almost 30 participants from China, Germany and Luxembourg attended the event from 24 to 28 July 2018 to exchange the state-of-the-art research within the network. Particularly, most of the participants were young scientists including Master students from China and Germany.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-dev4-reusable-blocks-image  object-fit--contain\">\n    \n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-image unilux-custom-image-block\"\n                alt=\"\"\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2023\/07\/groupfoto.jpg\"\n                    style=\"object-position: 50.00% 50.00%; font-family: &quot;object-fit: contain; object-position: 50.00% 50.00%;&quot;; aspect-ratio: 16\/9; object-fit: contain; width: 100%;\"\n        loading=\"lazy\"\n\/>    <\/figure><p>Welcomed by Prof.\u00a0Tonie van Dam\u00a0and her team from the Research Unit in Engineering Sciences (<a href=\"https:\/\/wwwen.uni.lu\/research\/fstc\/research_unit_in_engineering_sciences_rues\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">RUES<\/a>) at the University of Luxembourg, the workshop has covered a variety of the Geodesy subject towards \u201cGlobal Change Monitoring\u201d with 30 presentations focusing on 5 main topics:<\/p><ul class=\"ulux-list\"><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Satellite Altimetry, Gravimetry &#038; Enabling technologies<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Positioning, Navigation &#038; Reference Systems<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Applications for Global Change Monitoring<\/li><li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Gravity field modelling and Height System<\/li><\/ul><p>During the workshop, a fruitful discussion and exchange of ideas among the participants took place. In addition, two social events of visiting Campus Belval and Vianden were organized. As said by\u00a0Dr. Qiang Chen, all participants were greatly impressed by Campus Belval as well as Luxembourg.
