The University will receive 26.4 million euros for the period 2018-2021.<\/p><p>The convention was signed, from the government, by <strong>Marc Hansen<\/strong>, Minister Delegate for Higher Education and Research and <strong>L\u00e9on Diederich<\/strong>, First Government Counsellor; and, from the University, by <strong>Yves Elsen<\/strong>, President of the Board of Governors and <strong>St\u00e9phane Pallage<\/strong>, Rector.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-dev4-reusable-blocks-image  object-fit--contain\">\n    \n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-image unilux-custom-image-block\"\n                alt=\"\"\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2023\/07\/convention_medecine.jpg\"\n                    style=\"object-position: 50.00% 50.00%; font-family: &quot;object-fit: contain; object-position: 50.00% 50.00%;&quot;; aspect-ratio: 21\/9; object-fit: contain; width: 100%;\"\n        loading=\"lazy\"\n\/>    <\/figure>\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"from-left-stephane-pallage-marc-hansen-yves-elsen-and-leon-diederich-mesr\"\n    >\nFrom left: St\u00e9phane Pallage, Marc Hansen, Yves Elsen and L\u00e9on Diederich \u00a9 MESR<\/h5>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"new-ba-in-medicine-starting-in-two-years\"\n    >\nNew BA in medicine starting in two years<\/h2>\n<p>As part of this agreement, <strong>the University will set up a<\/strong> <strong>three-year bachelor programme in medicine<\/strong>, starting from the academic year 2020\/2021, with a focus on modern teaching concepts. In a second phase, the option of setting up a Master in medical studies in Luxembourg will be examined.<\/p><p>This new bachelor will be set up in close collaboration with foreign universities in order to ensure access for graduates to further studies. For instance, the University of Luxembourg will conclude specific agreements with the Universities of Lorraine, Strasbourg, Paris V and Paris VI by the end of 2019.
