{"id":1765,"date":"2022-04-25T09:07:53","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T09:07:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/website.prod.unilu.spikeseed.cloud\/fr\/news\/ses-et-le-snt-accedent-au-supercalculateur-meluxina\/"},"modified":"2022-04-25T09:07:53","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T09:07:53","slug":"ses-et-le-snt-accedent-au-supercalculateur-meluxina","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fr\/news\/ses-et-le-snt-accedent-au-supercalculateur-meluxina\/","title":{"rendered":"SES et le SnT acc\u00e8dent au supercalculateur MeluXina"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\"><p>Le supercalculateur luxembourgeois MeluXina permettra aux partenaires de recherche de r\u00e9aliser des tests d\u2019optimisation des communications par satellite<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ses.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"SES\" rel=\"noopener\">SES<\/a>, le <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwfr.uni.lu\/snt\" target=\"_self\" title=\"SnT\" rel=\"noopener\">SnT<\/a> (Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust) de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Luxembourg et <a href=\"https:\/\/luxprovide.lu\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"LuxProvide\" rel=\"noopener\">LuxProvide<\/a> ont annonc\u00e9 ce jour qu\u2019une \u00e9quipe conjointe de chercheurs de SES et du SnT a obtenu l\u2019acc\u00e8s prioritaire (\u00ab\u00a0Early Access\u00a0\u00bb) au supercalculateur MeluXina du Grand-Duch\u00e9 pour r\u00e9aliser des tests destin\u00e9s \u00e0 optimiser les performances des satellites et l\u2019allocation du spectre.<\/p><p>MeluXina fait partie des 50 plus grandes installations du genre dans le monde et ouvre la voie \u00e0 des m\u00e9thodes de recherches innovantes et avanc\u00e9es au profit de secteurs cl\u00e9s au Luxembourg, dont l\u2019espace. Capable d\u2019ex\u00e9cuter des millions de milliards d\u2019op\u00e9rations par seconde, ce supercalculateur est particuli\u00e8rement pris\u00e9 pour les projets de recherche et d\u2019innovation exigeant des calculs combinatoires complexes, notamment dans le domaine des t\u00e9l\u00e9communications et de la cryptologie.<\/p><p>Intitul\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0<i>Resource allocation<\/i> <i>for satellite communications<\/i>\u00a0\u00bb (allocation des ressources pour les communications par satellite), le projet conjoint SES-SnT entend mod\u00e9liser et optimiser les performances et l\u2019utilisation du spectre radio pour les syst\u00e8mes de communication par satellite \u00e0 large bande passante. Du fait que les satellites de SES d\u00e9livrent simultan\u00e9ment des contenus et des services de connectivit\u00e9 \u00e0 des millions d\u2019usagers, les ressources comme le spectre et la puissance de transmission doivent \u00eatre constamment allou\u00e9es de fa\u00e7on optimale pour maximiser les performances du syst\u00e8me.<\/p><p>Alors que SES entame l\u2019exploitation de satellites enti\u00e8rement num\u00e9riques, en l\u2019occurrence SES-17 et la constellation en orbite moyenne (MEO) de deuxi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration O3b mPOWER, des facteurs comme l\u2019automatisation et l\u2019optimisation intelligentes des syst\u00e8mes satellitaires deviennent de plus en plus importants. C\u2019est pourquoi SES et l\u2019un de ses partenaires industriels ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ses.com\/blog\/unlocking-agility-ses-satellites-adaptive-resource-control\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">solutions de rupture<\/a> pour l\u2019optimisation \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle des satellites de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Les capacit\u00e9s de test et de mod\u00e9lisation des diff\u00e9rents sc\u00e9narios possibles seront ainsi d\u00e9cupl\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la puissance de calcul de MeluXina et au partenariat de recherche scell\u00e9 avec le SnT.<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0Pour optimiser les performances de nos satellites innovants de prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, nous devons recourir \u00e0 des syst\u00e8mes logiciels bas\u00e9s sur des algorithmes complexes et r\u00e9aliser des centaines de tests avant que ces nouveaux syst\u00e8mes satellitaires ne deviennent op\u00e9rationnels. Nous sommes donc ravis de pouvoir utiliser les capacit\u00e9s de MeluXina pour g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des sc\u00e9narios d\u2019optimisation qui nous permettront d\u2019apporter le meilleur service \u00e0 nos clients\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Ruy Pinto, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) de SES. \u00ab\u00a0Nous nous r\u00e9jouissons \u00e9galement \u00e0 la perspective de poursuivre notre partenariat avec le SnT pour continuer nos recherches dans le domaine spatial.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0Il y a toujours des compromis \u00e0 faire entre complexit\u00e9 et performance.
