We are pleased to announce the official launch of the Esch2022 project \u201cThe Sound of Data \u2013 Science meets Music\u201d, which is a collaboration between Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), Centre de Musiques Amplifi\u00e9es Rockhal, University of Luxembourg and Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).<\/p>

The project aims to create bridges between the worlds of<\/strong> science and music<\/strong> as well as raising awareness among the general public on topics like data in science, in our daily life, and in music.<\/p>

The event will host various activities for different target audiences: for the general public and families<\/strong> we will have a science fair on the topic of data and sound, whereas for scientists and musicians<\/strong>, we will host a keynote talk by cyborg-artist Neil Harbisson<\/strong>, a lecture performance by Dr. Valery Vermeulen<\/strong> about data sonification, a panel discussion about \u201csonification \u2013 creative ways for scientists, musicians and artists to work with data\u201d<\/strong>, as well as a closing drink and much more.<\/p>
