Prof. Lang will report from an ongoing study on the impact of the pandemic with around 1000 participants between 20 and 90 years of age. This longitudinal study has been conducted since the end of March 2020 and the eighth wave of the survey (in 12 months) has just been completed. In his talk, Prof. Lang will focus in particular on the aspects of age- and future-related attitudes, social belonging and well-being.<\/p>

Frieder R. Lang is a Professor of Psychology and Gerontology, and Director of the Institute of Psychogerontology and Head of the Interdisciplinary Center of Aging Research at the University of<\/p>

Erlangen-N\u00fcrnberg (Germany). His research focuses on healthy active ageing, cross-cultural research, social relationships, late life preparation, future perspectives and motivation across adulthood. He has published more than 120 scholarly articles and book chapters. Since 2009, he is a PI on the longitudinal international project Ageing as Future funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. Currently, he serves as Editor of GeroPsych \u2013 The Journal of Gerontopsychology and Geriatric Psychiatry. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Psychology and Aging, European Journal of Ageing, and the International Journal of Behavioral Development. Frieder Lang is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA).
