Professor William M. Sage<\/a>, MD, JD, University of Texas School of Law (Austin)<\/p>

James R. Dougherty Chair for Faculty Excellence in the School of Law and Professor of Surgery and Perioperative Care in the Dell Medical School.<\/p>

Professsor Sage served as UT Austin’s first Vice Provost for Health Affairs and is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, on the board of Health Care Services; he is a graduate of Harvard College and Stanford Medical and Law Schools.<\/p>

Professor Sage will address the big picture from across the Pond of how U.S. governance and the U.S. health system design have affected a lot of the COVID response, as well as the medical supply chain dependence on China.<\/p>\n
